Estudo desenvolvido pelo consórcio internacional ENIGMA, do
qual o IDOR foi o único representante da América Latina, foi publicado em abril
de 2017 na prestigiada revista científica Lancet
Psychiatry, revelando alterações cerebrais em pacientes com TDAH
(Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade). De acordo com levantamento
, o trabalho segue sendo o segundo mais relevante já publicado na revista. A
pesquisa, que é a maior já realizada até hoje, foi tuitada em diversos países e
ganhou manchete de centenas de noticiários em todo o mundo. “O estudo aponta
que o TDAH não é uma doença inventada, mas um transtorno neurobiológico”,
afirma um dos autores Dr. Paulo Mattos.
